China’s No Panda Express [Video]

In April 2011, I did a presentation “China’s No Panda Express” at Ignite Detroit. The presentation was elected second place by all the attending audience.

The inspiration of this talk came from a series of “Far East expedition failure,” such as Google’s withdrawal from China, the rise of social clone sites like Sina Weibo (Twitter), Renren (Facebook), and many similar cases.

Western tourists are often surprised to learn there is no chop suey in China. American companies can also be unpleasantly surprised when they try to do business in the Chinese-speaking countries. Learn how to avoid the most common mistakes and succeed in the fastest-growing market in the world. (And leave the fortune cookies at home.)
